She also served two years as a federal judicial staff
attorney to Chief Judge W. Louis Sands of the United States District Court
of the Middle District of Georgia, Albany Division where she was involved
in assisting the court with federal civil and criminal matters. She was also
with the Fulton County Public Defender's Office for a limited time in Atlanta,
Georgia. Ms. Brinson is admitted to practice law in Georgia, Florida and Alabama.
Attorney Brinson currently serves on the executive boards of Georgia Association
of Black Women Attorneys and the State Bar of Georgia's Minority in the Profession
Committee, Family Law Committee, Criminal Law Committee, as well as other
committees. She is a member of Georgia Trial Lawyer's Association, Georgia
Criminal Defense Association, American Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyer's
Association as well as many other bar organizations.
In April 2002, Ms. Brinson was selected as one of Southwest Georgia's Women
of Worth by Darton College. In March 2005, she was recognized as an outstanding
woman in Macon/Middle Georgia. She has also been recognized by Georgia Informer's
Newspaper as an outstanding leader and business person under the age of 40.
She has also been recognized by Georgia Trend Magazine as one of 40 under
40 young people on the rise in the State of Georgia. Attorney Brinson is a
member of the Macon-Bibb County Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Macon 2005
class.
At Walter F. George School of Law, Ms. Brinson served on the Corporate Moot
Court team and was recognized with the Dean's Distinguished Service Award.
She was also selected as a Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges &
Universities, both in law school and college. Ms. Brinson has also served
as law clerk to former Chief Judge Robert Benham of Georgia Supreme Court
while in law school.
